Sterling Scott

Founder & President

Sterling Scott grew up in Malibu, California where his parents built the homes he grew up in, so as a child he was always around construction sites and homes being remodeled.  This proved useful when he later decided to pursue public insurance adjusting.  He went to Rowland Hall St. Marks, an Ivy league college preparatory high school, which had an international alpine ski racing academy. Sterling was a member of the international ski academy and achieved a national ranking as a competitive alpine skier.  He was able to travel the world skiing and has raced with many US Ski Team members.   Upon graduating he attended, St. Edward’s University, a private university in Austin, Texas where he graduated Sum Lauda. He then earned a real estate license in both California and Texas where he focused on commercial properties with a specialization in apartment buildings.

Sterling’s journey in Florida began in 2011 when he seized the opportunity to oversee the construction and management of a multi-million-dollar airport facility. This facility, owned by St. Joe Development, one of Florida’s largest land developing companies, marked Sterling as one of the top up-and-coming entrepreneurs of the Emerald Coast. His achievements led to recognition as one of the top “40 Under 40 professionals” in the Florida panhandle.

To expand his involvement in business consulting and real estate, Sterling collaborated with property management companies, one of which managed over 300 properties in their portfolio. However, Sterling discovered his true passion when he discovered Public Insurance Adjusting.

While continuing his role as a business consultant, Sterling played a pivotal role in the growth of a small public adjusting company, transforming it into one of the largest in the state. Recognizing his true calling in helping people recover proceeds from insurance companies, Sterling founded his own public adjusting company, Trust Public Adjusting Group, in January 2017.

With hands-on field experience in public adjusting and a commitment to delivering exceptional results, Sterling has found fulfillment in his role, making a positive impact on individuals navigating the complexities of insurance claims.

Jill Miller

Jill Miller has had a diverse and fulfilling life journey, from growing up in New York to raising her children in Malibu, California. Her connection to Florida through her mother’s roots in Pensacola led to a significant life change when her son, Sterling Scott, encouraged her to obtain a Public Adjusting License and relocate to Florida.

Becoming an office manager and obtaining a Public Adjusting License allowed Jill to actively engage in the insurance claim process. Managing the office, she has a hands-on approach to every claim and finds reward in assisting clients through the entire process, culminating in the satisfaction of handing them their indemnification check. This career change seems to have brought a sense of fulfillment and purpose to Jill’s professional life.

It’s evident that Jill Miller has worn many hats throughout her life, including roles such as a mother, interior designer, real estate agent, and overseeing the design and construction of multi-million-dollar custom homes in California and Utah. Her adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges have led her to a successful and satisfying career in public adjusting in Florida.

Dylan Daraio

Dylan, a native of Daytona Beach, has been immersed in the construction and building industries from an early age, thanks to numerous family members in these fields. After graduating from Spruce Creek High School and completing the International Baccalaureate program, he pursued a degree in Business Supervision and Management at Daytona State College. Dylan’s hands-on construction knowledge, coupled with his academic background, provides him with a unique advantage.

With close to a decade of experience holding a real estate broker’s associate license, Dylan possesses extensive knowledge of the local Volusia County market. He is deeply committed to fighting for the rightful compensation of policyholders from insurance carriers, diligently working to secure the indemnification they deserve. Dylan brings a positive and personable approach to the claims process and has successfully represented a diverse range of cases, from damaged RV motorhomes to condominium associations.

His proficiency in representing condominium unit owners is particularly noteworthy, with Dylan excelling in advocating for over 50 beachside condominium unit owners in his first year as a public adjuster. As an avid surfer, Dylan not only appreciates but also understands the coastal living lifestyle. His goal is to alleviate the stress associated with the claims process, making it as smooth as possible for those he assists.

Matthew Mink

Matthew resides in Winter Park with his wife of 25 years and their three sons. With a wealth of knowledge in the construction industry, particularly in roofing, Matthew brings extensive expertise to his profession as a Public Adjuster. Beyond his professional background, he actively participates in the Policyholder Ambassadors program.

Matthew is a passionate advocate for the rights of Florida citizens in their interactions with insurance companies. He has taken his advocacy to the forefront, speaking in front of the House and Senate of the Florida Legislature. His mission is to ensure that insurance companies are held accountable when policyholders are unfairly underpaid or denied.

Combining his hands-on experience in construction, in-depth knowledge of Florida laws and statutes, and a comprehensive understanding of insurance policies, Matthew collaborates with Trust Public Adjusting Group. Together, they employ proven claim documenting processes and leverage an extensive network of industry experts. This collaborative effort makes Matthew an unwavering advocate for the policyholders he represents, striving to secure fair and just outcomes in their insurance claims.

Samer Salama

Meet Samer Salama, a licensed Florida public adjuster with a diverse background. Born in Kuwait and raised in Egypt, he attended a multinational school, becoming fluent in both Arabic and English. His family moved to the United States when he was 11, settling in Florida, where he attended high school. As a high school athlete, Samer developed discipline and gratitude for life in the U.S., inspiring him to pursue a rewarding and service-oriented career.

After high school, Samer entered the roofing industry, gaining valuable experience in the property insurance and claims process. Witnessing firsthand how insurance carriers mistreat reference policyholders, he decided to further his education and obtained his public adjuster’s license. His goal became advocating for homeowners and policyholders facing the unfortunate situation of property damage.

Throughout his career, Samer has handled a diverse range of claims, including those related to natural disasters, plumbing and drainage failures, electrical issues, and structural collapses. His firsthand experience in the roofing industry enhances his ability to navigate complex insurance scenarios.

As a committed professional, Samer stays informed about the evolving insurance landscape, ensuring he is well-versed in the latest industry trends and regulations. This dedication allows him to provide clients with the most satisfactory service, serving as a reliable advocate in times of need.

Kody Dodson-Dwyer

At 31 years old, I’m a Chicago native who has been living the Florida dream for nearly three years now. I proudly graduated from the University of Alabama—ROLL TIDE! My journey into the world of public adjusting began after spending almost two and a half years in roofing sales. Coming from a family of handymen, with fathers and uncles skilled in various trades, I made the conscious decision to leverage my intellect over physical labor.

Opting for a career as a public adjuster, I discovered my passion for standing up for policyholders and engaging in the good fight on their behalf. My transition from roofing sales to public adjusting aligns with my belief in doing what’s right for the clients I serve.

Evan Foster

Evan started helping policyholders as a public adjuster when my parents had an insurance claim happen to our house almost 10 years ago. We had a cast iron pipe leak causing over 100k in repair costs. Our insurance company offered my parents around a third of that cost to cover the expensive repairs needed. We hired a Public Adjuster who recovered a sufficient settlement for us and we were finally able to get all of our repairs completed. That same Public Adjuster who helped my family asked me to work with him.

Now years later, I am a licensed Public Adjuster in the State of Florida and have helped many policyholders recover sufficient settlements. I handle all types of claims, small and large-loss catastrophic claims. I am also a statewide Florida Appraiser representing policyholders during their Appraisal process. I negotiate reconstruction estimates with Opposing Appraisers, and top Florida-certified umpires/judges when insurance claims are demanded into Appraisal.

Mr. Foster is not a public adjuster with Trust Public Adjusting Group. He is an impartial appraiser hired by the policy holders, but Evan has been involved in number of Trust Public Adjusting Group claims.

Chris Rohde 

Born and grew up in Wisconsin, Graduated from UW-Whitewater. Worked at the Beloit Public Library for 23 ½ years as a Reference Librarian and head of IT Services. Moved to Winter Park, FL in 2012 and worked for the Winter Park Public Library as head of IT Services for 3 years. Moved to Daytona Beach in 2015 and Started Surf’s Up Computing. As owner of Surf’s Up Computing, we provide computer services to over 300 businesses within a 1 hour radius of Daytona Beach, FL.  Surf’s Up Computing is known for its customer service and the unique custom build computers that are personalized to the users wishes. For the last 3 years Surf’s Up Computing has been researching and developing its own brand of computers called “Solar System Computers” which is a small unique designed computer that is artwork that you will be proud to place on your desk instead of a boring computer you shove under your desk. The first 2 designs are the golf ball computer and the bowling ball computer.
